 Sanctified by God Jeremiah 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Clearly, we are not equipped to sanctify ourselves. While we can make a choice for God to sanctify us, the process is out of our control. How could we sanctify ourselves when we cannot even discern what is right in God's eyes? Instead, God has promised to sanctfy us. Psalm 23:3 says, "He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." Like faithful sheep, we need to let Him convict us and work in us as we follow His will.
