Go and sin no more
.
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

1 John 1:6-9 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We need to confess our sins.  By doing this, we acknowledge that we know what is sin and that we are guilty of it.  If we do not trust in God to change our hearts, however, then we will keep committing the same sins over and over.  What good is it to confess our sins if we will run out and commit the same ones again?  Instead, Jesus came to save us from our sins, not in them.  As the passages above point out, we need to walk in the same light that has shown us what our sins are.  If we do that, we will be even more blessed than before!
