Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Dictionary.com defines "accept" as, to respond or answer affirmatively to. Saying yes to God's offer of mercy and love accomplished through Jesus is certainly the right way to go. However, faith is not simply acceptance of Jesus. Prophets, disciples, and the Apostles died living out their faith in God. Jesus' Sermon on the Mount is filled with practical ways to live out our faith towards God and man. And much of the material in Paul's letters is there to correct the various churches so they will walk the way God wants them to. Again, accepting Jesus is necessary for our faith, but true faith will go beyond that.
