Satan is not responsible
.
1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Jude 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

While Satan and his angels do tempt us to sin, they can never force us to.  In the Garden of Eden, he had no power to actually make Adam sin.  All that Satan could do was to try and sway Adam with words and lies.  If Adam followed what God had told him about not eating the fruit of the tree, then sin never would have entered into this world and Satan would have been defeated.

Satan is responsible for the origin of sin as well as enticing us to sin.  But God is stronger than him.  If we put ourselves under God's protection, then Satan will never overcome us.
